If you're getting married in London and are looking for a beautiful venue with history in an unforgettable setting you'll want to consider the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel. Located in the heart of London with its stunning Gothic architecture and luxurious interiors, this hotel serves as a remarkable backdrop for a beautiful wedding. If that wasn't enough to sell you did I mention this is where the Spice Girls filmed their music video for "Wannabe".
Over the summer we had the pleasure of flowering Meghan and Thorben's wedding at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel. So let's dive into their wedding!
THE DESIGN BRIEF
From our very first chat Meghan knew right away that she wanted to have a timeless wedding with white and green florals that was romantic yet modern and that worked with the venue. For her bridal bouquet Meghan opted for gorgoues white peonies. Peonies are only available in May and June so as a June bride she was in luck!
THE CEREMONY
For the ceremony M&T got married in Hansom Hall which has tall ceilings, beautiful brick work, and floor to ceiling windows. For the ceremony we created two large statement urns filled with delphiniums, hydranges, reflexed roses and statement foliage to give extra height. To add more impact for the ceremony we created abundant aisle meadows to go down the aisle. Here's a look at their ceremony captured by Taylor Hughes Photography
REPURPOSING THE FLORALS
As a wedding florist we design our ceremony florals in a way that they can be repurposed and moved around for your reception. There may be some cases where this is not possible. It's always best to check with your florist to see what is possible!
For M&T the dance floor for the reception was where they wanted to create impact. Using the flowers from the ceremony we lined the stage with the aisle meadows placing disco balls inbetween for that party vibe! We then placed the urn arrangements at each end of the stage and the end result was perfect!
TABLESCAPING
For the wedding meal M&T opted for four long tables which suited the room nicely. For the table flowers we created bud vases filled with a variety of reflexed roses, sweet peas and peonies. To create a romantic and cosy ambiance we placed tapered candles down the length of the long tables. Due to the open flame policy at the venue it was essential the flame was covered by a glass sleeve. This added an elegant touch to the table!
FINAL THOUGHTS
We had such a lovely time bringing M&T's vision to life for their wedding day! Here are a list of the suppliers that made this day possible.
