Exploring Paris: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Our Styled Shoot

Updated: Nov 24

Earlier this year a group of talented suppliers and myself headed from London for 72 hours to collaborate on a styled shoot in Paris. Styled shoots are a great way to network with suppliers, push new designs, and create content. We take on a few shoots a year to really focus on our creativity and there's no better destination than Paris!

Using the eurostar for the first time I headed from London to Paris and arrived in less than 2.5 hours into the city center. The joy of having Europe at your doorstep! Paris such a beautiful city with it's rich history and beautiful architecture. The big viral craze at the time was the chocolate chip cookie dough crossaint and it definitely lived up to the hype!

THE STYLED SHOOT

The first day of shooting in Paris began at iconic and romantic locations, with preparations starting in the AirBnb for the models' hair and makeup. The space was used for detail and getting ready shots, showcasing the chic stationery designed by KM Stationery & Design.

In the afternoon we ventured to the district of the Louvre-Tuileries to capture some romantic shots with the architecture. Despite the bustling crowds, we successfully discovered a picturesque location for our photoshoot.

For the bridal gown, we collaborated with Lorelle Atara Couture from Edinburgh, Scotland. Their gown, with intricate detailing, was a perfect fit for the shoot, embodying a fashion ideal for Paris.

For the florals we used white reflexed roses, blush spray roses, blush delphiniums and taupe coloured sweet peas. To keep the bouquet looking fresh for the whole day we brought a vase along with us so the flowers were never out of water for too long.

Our next destination involved a pre-arranged private water taxi ride on the river Seine for capturing romantic couple shots both on the water and in front of the Eiffel Tower. This turned out to be my highlight of the shoot!

After the boat ride we were heading into golden hour so we headed to Pont Alexandre III, which is a beatifully intricate bridge that spans over the river.

Following hours of shooting, we took a break for a well-deserved crepe and a wardrobe change before heading to the Eiffel Tower to capture our last photos of the day. This dress was perfect for the evening shoot, as the lights beautifully highlighted the shimmering fabric. For the bridal bouquet we created a small bouquet of reflexed roses for a chic and modern vibe.

We had such a lovely time shooting in Paris! A list of the suppliers are linked below.
